In its beginning it was conceived as a home, a home to create art in front of the sea, enjoy friends, family, in the middle of hundreds of birds, mangroves and marine species: live the experience of a small fishing village in a simple way in a paradise not contaminated by the hurried life of the cities.
The island culture of its owner, an artist of Cuban origin, settled on this other island, Holbox, as if there had always been been there.
He found a home, he found his Tibet and his bread, he found a new way of expressing his art, his son grew up, he planted trees and, little by little, he conceived a sacred place for his guests and for himself.
The strength of Ser CasaSandra is that it continues to be a home, where those who visit it find the safe, peaceful and comfortable space that It allows them to connect with their inner voice, with their nature within the prodigious nature of Holbox, which is the luxury of the days we live, according to its creator.
The strength of Ser CasaSandra is that it also enters the community with respect and admiration, as part of its gratitude for so many kindnesses received by the Island, Ser CasaSandra started an active project through the Arts to share their passion for creation with the community, especially with children and youth from Holbox.
Working with love in what we do, is the philosophy of the company and each one of those who collaborate.
If each being that visits us manages to stop a moment and, in his delivery, manages to put peace inside, then we have achieved that our house becomes sacred in his memory and his trip to Holbox unforgettable.
